We all have a desire to give love to others. We all want to help and reach out to those in need. It's what I believe defines Humanity. Deep down we are emotional beings, who care for one another.
But while we are looking for opportunities to help others, we can forget about ourselves.
I realised one day that I needed to look after number one first. I needed to have a desire to help myself first. I needed to give unconditional love to myself.
We must look after ourselves, and even those who aren't in desperate need. We all have something going on in our lives. And so we all need some kind of support and can always do with a lending hand.
Appreciate who you are and who surrounds you, your friends and family. Make every effort to look at yourself first and realise that it all starts within you.
Yes we should help those in need,
But don't forget everyday people like you and me.
For how can you serve love and all its wealth,
When you have not served it to yourself.
